The use of technology to develop students'skills

The effective implementation of the new technologies for education is a process that is constantly evolving. The school must implement increasingly updated strategies to teach their students and prepare them for further lifelong training, The moment we   think about the formal and informal learning of the students, and the ability of the school and its teachers  to promote motivation and their active participation, it is pertinent to rethink the use of new technologies to develop the  students' capacities.The project "The use of technology to develop students' skills" emerged as a way to support the development of the objectives set in the Education Project Grouping - "Towards an Education of the future ...

A  School of the future"The activity to be developed involves the presence of the grouping teachers in a European school, which teaches the same  level of education, in order to observe how new technologies are implemented in the curriculum and strategies used at the school to motivate students and teachers in their educational tasks.

This project will enable the development of methodologies for:

(i) the increase in educational achievement;

(ii) the reduction of truancy and

(iii) the teaching and learning of foreign languages.

There are six teachers involved with skills in the English language and new technologies that will be the "missionary" for the further dissemination and implementation of skills acquired during their experience in the host school.It is considered that an observation on the spot of how to implement the teaching methods and the right tools, which aim to achieve the maximum success of students, can make a decisive contribution in the school dynamics and a qualitative leap in the way teachers teach and how students learn. This process is supported by the educational use of new technologies in teaching and learning in a collaborative work among teachers in order to achieve the proposed objectives.
